Welcome Zifan
Meet Zifan, our latest hire, who just joined our Frontend Development team in Shanghai.
Ciao!
I graduated from Nanjing University in 2015 and previously worked at a company called Zhihu(a Chinese equation to Quora). After about two years of work, I left Beijing and took a gap year.
After settling back down, I decided to look for a job in Shanghai, close to my hometown of Kunshan. It was then that I found Wiredcraft.
In university, I chose to pursue software engineering because of my interest in video games. Between my studies, I also joined a studio where students worked on Web-related projects. It was during this time I learned technologies like HTML/CSS and JavaScript which allowed me to become a front-end developer. In university, I developed two important habits: reading and traveling. My favorite spot at the university was the library, and I traveled domestically throughout China as much as I could.
What attracted you to apply here?
Multicultural environment, work-life balance, wiredcraft.com website, remote-work policy, and the JSConf.
What’s the most adventurous experience you have had?
I went to Tibet alone when I was 19.
If there’s one thing you recommend everyone in the world to do, what would it be?
Know yourself.
Have you travelled anywhere recently?
I traveled to Turkey last summer. I enjoyed strolling around city of Istanbul, then visited several Greek and Roman relics, went on a boat trip and swam in the Mediterranean. I also travelled in a hot air balloon and hiked in Cappadocia.
