Welcome, Emanon

Meet Emanon, our latest hire, who just joined our Ops team in Shanghai.

My name is Emanon(小丁). I come from Jiangsu province and I speak Chinese. Now I live in Kongjiang Road, Yangpu district in Shanghai.

Before joining Wiredcraft, I worked in an accounting firm as an audit assistant. It was tiring but interesting.

1.What hobbies do you have?

I love to hang around in parks and enjoy the view. At home I choose to do some cross-stitchwork and play computer games to kill time. I also have some plants on my balcony.

2. What’s the most underestimated talent you have?

I play well with cats in parks, they likes me so much (maybe they just play well with everyone).

3. What’s the most adventurous experience you have had?

I watched a meteor shower alone in Dishui Park, Shanghai at midnight and the sight was so shocking that a plane took off meanwhile a meteor just crashed.

4. What is the one thing you hope you’ll do in your lifetime?

I hope I can have my own farm one day with a lake and fruit trees.

5. If there’s one thing you recommend everyone in the world to do, what would it be?

I recommend everyone to keep breathing, don’t stop.

6. Are there any aspects of the job excites you the most?

Collecting data and make them organized, and to see matched financial statements make me feel pleased.

7. What was the project your are most proud of? And what were some challenges you had before?

I joined an IPO project team when I was a intern and the project remained for two years. This project turned me from a know-nothing into a experienced audit assistant and I was in charge of the work of a small foreign company. Not only I learned the process of this kind of special audit, but also I learned the demand of information of capital market. It was a challenge to explain the abnormal financial accounts to SEC of china, we had to figure out the reason in terms of business conditions, local laws and regulations and special transactions. The process lasted a long time, which is a test of patience.

8. What are top 3 digital products you would recommend others to use and What is a good design?

  • 小宇宙播客app: It is the most professional podcast platform in China now, all kinds of podcasts can be found here.
  • 拼多多app: It’s cheap and convenient to buy fruits and saplings here.
  • Stellarium app: This is a star map app and in clear nights you can use it to identify stars and constellations.

9. What are some new skills you’d like to explore in the future?

I want to learn the use of digital camera to keep the moments of life. If possible, I also want to learn first-aid measures and join the rescue team.

10. How do you stay productive and motivated working virtually?

Good rest makes productive work. If I feel upset or tired, I would delay some less important work and do some exercises after Pamela’s video or have a nap.

11. What are the three things you like about Wiredcraft? Or what attracted you to apply here?

I have a natural affinity for software companies. After coming in the community, I appreciate the vibe here that we come together and work in one direction. Also, Wiredcraft provides opportunity for employers to develop, encourage female employers to give full play to their talents. It’s so great.

12. What do you want to achieve in Wiredcraft?

I hope to learn the whole process of corporate accounting in Wiredcraft and do my best to make the company better, and to get a work-life balance.

13. Anything you would like to tell your interviewers?

I love them. The interview was not so hard and we had a good talk. The last practical question really got me. Through the question, I notice the concrete difference between audit and accounting and thanks for the answer. It inspires me a lot.

14. If one day Zombie comes after us, what are 3 things you want to take with?

An axe, a laser pen and a strong rope.

15. If you could have one of the super powers, which power you’d like to have? (everlasting memory, debug anything with my mind, bring people back to life,……)

I wanna fly~

16. Say 3 things you haven’t done yet but will do for sure in the future.

  • Travel to every province of China.
  • Finish the game Hollow Knight.
  • Get rid of mouthpieces.

17. You can have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what is it? Sushi? Scotch Tape?

Various kinds of flowers will be great.
