Heya, Evan
Meet Evan, our latest hire, who just joined our product team in Shanghai.
My name is Evan Zhou. I moved from Shenzhen, where I lived for almost 6 years.
I speak Chinese, English, and Cantonese. I’m staying near Huaihai Zhong Lu in Shanghai.
Before joining Wiredcraft, I was an eCommerce Product Manager for a skincare brand called Crabtree & Evelyn. I worked on different products including website, WeChat mini-program, and CRM.
I see two things excites me about my job. Being able to work with the world’s most established brands and create products/features for their customers is amazing. A project-based, squad-like team of profession and trust is also encouraging to me.
**1. What is the project your are the most proud of? **
I worked on an online shop website for Hong Kong market with a lot of different promotion/discount methods and each supporting layered discounts. I’m glad I sorted out their logics, phew~
2. What’s the most adventurous experience you have had?
A house moving where I rented a car, stuffed it with my luggage and cats, and drove 9 hours, 700+ kilometers.
3. What hobbies do you have?
I’m slowly crafting my skills on hand drip coffee but I’m already making some good progress with African light roasts. I have two cats and I love them so much. I also like going to new places - that doesn’t always mean traveling, sometimes it’s just finding a new way to explore a city I’m already familiar with.
4. If there’s one thing you recommend everyone in the world to do, what would it be?
Try ceong-fan (rice roll) in Guangzhou or Hong Kong. It’s a daily essential for Cantonese people and it is in itself a vibrant food culture.
5. What is the one thing you’ll hope you’ll do in your lifetime?
Learning Spanish and Japanese.
6. What’s the most underestimated talent you have?
I can also do photography and video production, still very amateur - but absolutely underestimated ;)
